We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Project Manager to lead our dynamic team of software engineers in delivering and supporting high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing DevOps operations, fostering a collaborative team environment, and communicating effectively with Stakeholders, other Vendors, and their internal team.
Responsibilities
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor and control project expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide regular financial reports and variance analysis to stakeholders.
- Identify potential budget risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- DevOps Coordination:
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to schedule and monitor development and operations processes.
- Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between development, operations, and other relevant teams.
- Manage deployment schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives and KPIs.
- Report progress against objectives to stakeholders.
- Ensure that projects are executed according to the established plan and budget.
- Identify and address project risks, issues, and changes proactively.
- Conduct regular project reviews and update stakeholders on progress.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication among team members.
- Coordinate with external vendors or partners as necessary.
- Communication:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Implement best practices for budget management and DevOps operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP Certification and CSM is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on budget management, client communications, and DevOps coordination.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and practices, with experience in Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial management skills and experience with budget forecasting and reporting.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with Smartsheets, Jira, and Confluence preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
