Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Research and Development Specialist to join our team. This position is crucial in shaping our product development strategy, ensuring we remain competitive and innovative in the market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment/clothing/apparel, with additional expertise in accessories, packaging, and other related products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and potential market gaps in the garment, accessories, and packaging sectors.
  • Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitors' products, pricing, and market positioning to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with sourcing experts, designers, and marketing teams to conceptualize and develop new product ideas that align with market demands and company goals.
  • Feasibility Studies: Evaluate the feasibility of new product ideas, including cost analysis, resource availability, and potential ROI.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the supply chain and product development processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data from various sources to generate insights and reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sourcing, design, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of product development initiatives into the overall business strategy.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, research and development, market research, or a related field. Experience in the garment/clothing/apparel industry is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Tools:
    • Critical to have
      • Analytical Tools: Proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel, Google sheets, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI or other similar softwares.
      • Social Listening & Brand Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Brandwatch, Brand24, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social for monitoring brand reputation and consumer sentiment or other similar tools.
      • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
      • Communication & Collaboration Tools: Proficient in using communication platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
    • Nice to have
      • Market Research Tools: Experience with market research platforms like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, SurveyMonkey, SEMrush, Nielsen, Euromonitor, Mintel or other similar tools.
      • Design & Prototyping Tools: Basic knowledge of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and prototyping software (Sketch, Figma) is a plus.
      • ERP & Supply Chain Software: Exposure with ERP systems like Inventory Planner, Inventory, CIN7, Stocky and other similar systems.
