This is a remote position.

OpenLoop is always seeking overnight 50 state-licensed family medicine physicians to provide synchronous and asynchronous virtual patient care. We provide care ranging from tele-urgent care, medical weight loss, primary care, and specialty services.

About the Position

This is an incredible work opportunity in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient first. We hire clinical care professionals who deliver medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).

As an overnight physician, you will provide comprehensive overnight medical coverage across all 50 states, ensuring patients receive timely and high-quality care during nighttime hours. This role is ideal for dedicated medical professionals who thrive in a remote, technologically advanced environment and are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

Physicians are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organization policies and procedures. The scope of medical decision-making focuses on common conditions that would present within an episodic, acute, or primary care medical practice. Responsibilities

  • Obtains histories, conducts virtual exams, documents findings, evaluates and diagnoses medical and behavioral health conditions, recommends treatment plans, constructs care plans, enlists support from other team members and promotes peace of mind by investing in patient confidence

  • Delivers patient care in high-priority care targeting a range of common chronic conditions

  • Demonstrates flexibility by adapting as needed to change processes and practice in an evolving, ambiguous environment

  • Communicates effectively with other providers, including using comprehensive charting and messaging

  • Delivers patient care that balances the best that medical science has to offer, patient preferences and values, and invests in patients' future confidence and skills

  • Provide feedback about opportunities to improve the quality of care and operational processes



Requirements
  • Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine OR Emergency Medicine

  • REQUIRED: Must possess active, non-restrictive medical licensure in: ALL 50 STATES

    • Active 50 state licensure MUST be reflected on CV upon application 

  • A minimum of TWO years experience as a practicing physician required

  • MUST have a current and active DEAs

  • Must have no history of malpractice

  • REQUIRED: 4 - 5 Overnight shift availability per week

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice

  • Competent in providing patient education at every visit

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment

  • Timely and professional

  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus

  • Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is a plus

  • This is a 1099, contract position

  • Hourly Rate: $165/Hour 

  • 20 to 40 hours, full-time preferred

  • Some weekend work applicable
