Job Title: Hyperion Admin

Reports to:  Sr. Manager Business Analytics & Data Management

Location:  Remote (Preferably in California)

The Role

As a Hyperion Admin and Developer, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, security, maintenance, and development of Oracle Hyperion applications. This position is a technical, hands-on role; You will work closely with finance, IT teams and stakeholders to support financial planning and reporting processes, ensuring the integrity, performance, and availability of Hyperion systems. This role requires technical expertise in Hyperion software components along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of dodeca and SQL is a plus.

Your Impact

Administration and Configuration:

Administer and maintain Oracle Hyperion applications, including Essbase, Planning, Financial Management (HFM), and Data Relationship Management (DRM).

Configure and manage Hyperion environments, including user security, data integration, and metadata management.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability and optimal performance.

Development and Customization:

Design, develop, and implement enhancements and customizations within Hyperion applications to meet business requirements.

Create and maintain Hyperion reports, dashboards, and forms using Hyperion Financial Reporting, Smart View, and other reporting tools.

Develop and optimize Essbase cubes for multidimensional analysis and reporting.

Integration and Data Management:

Integrate Hyperion applications with other enterprise systems, databases, and data warehouses.

Manage data loads, transformations, and mappings using Hyperion Data Integration Management (DIM) or equivalent tools.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy across Hyperion applications and interfaces.

User Support and Training:

Provide technical support to end-users and stakeholders on Hyperion functionality, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user inquiries.

Conduct training sessions and create documentation to educate users on Hyperion applications and best practices.

System Upgrades and Patch Management:

Plan and execute Hyperion system upgrades, patches, and migrations in coordination with IT teams and vendors.

Perform testing and validation of upgrades to ensure compatibility and minimize disruption to business operations.

Compliance and Governance:

Implement and enforce best practices, security policies, and governance standards for Hyperion applications.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting and data management.

Who You Are

As a Hyperion Admin, who also functions as a Hyperion Developer, should be a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities, creativity in developing custom solutions, and effective communication skills. You must adeptly troubleshoot issues, design and implement enhancements, and clearly convey technical details to users and stakeholders while working collaboratively across teams to optimize Hyperion applications and meet business needs.

We’d love to hear from candidates who have a solid background in both Hyperion administration and development, ideally with 6-9 years of relevant experience in managing and customizing Hyperion applications. Preferred experience includes hands-on work with Oracle Hyperion products like Essbase, Planning, HFM, and DRM, as well as experience in designing and implementing enhancements.

Necessary knowledge for this role includes a deep understanding of Hyperion applications, data integration, and system performance monitoring. Preferred knowledge includes familiarity with multidimensional analysis and reporting, and proficiency in developing Essbase cubes.

Candidates should be skilled in Hyperion tools and reporting systems, and have experience with programs such as Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations. Essential skills include problem-solving, effective communication, creativity in customization, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

$140,000 - $150,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
