Your missions

This is a remote position.

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company, a well-established startup that leverages AI to enhance military and defense surveillance applications. They are seeking a passionate QA Engineer dedicated to software quality and test automation. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the success of product releases within a cross-functional agile environment, working with a team committed to pushing technical boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support scrum teams by testing and refining sensor integrations, real-time data processing, data fusion algorithms, and software integrations.
  • Develop and implement reliable and scalable automation test cases integrated into DevSecOps and MLOps pipelines.
  • Enhance software quality by accelerating defect detection and prevention.
  • Contribute to transforming the software development process through innovative testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve testing strategies and practices.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience in software development and testing, preferably with C/C++.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing, including unit and integration testing.
  • In-depth understanding of QA methodologies in a software company with short release cycles.
  • Experience writing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Experience developing and maintaining deployable code.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and Docker.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile development practices.
  • Demonstrated passion for coding and an interest in machine learning.
  • Experience working effectively in small teams.

Soft Skills:

  • Adaptable and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Multidisciplinary approach and self-directed work ethic.

Nice-To-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with technical writing.

Security Requirements:

Due to the nature of work in the aerospace and defense sectors, candidates must obtain a High-Level Security Clearance, which involves:

  • Being a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
  • Residing in Canada for the past 10 years.
  • Not traveling outside Canada for more than 6 consecutive months in the last 10 years.
  • Providing details if holding dual citizenship.
