About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, driven and results-obsessed General Manager, who will be responsible for driving and executing on our overall Japan strategy. As a key member of our Leadership Team you will be owning Japan’s P&L, creating a world class culture and ensuring that Japan is aligned to our overarching business strategies and goals.

  • Revenue Growth Strategy & Targets: Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy aimed at achieving the company targets for the market.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities and assess competitive landscape.

  • Lead Generation: Develop strategies to generate and convert high-quality leads.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and conversion rates.

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive repeat business and referrals.

  • Brand Positioning: Ensure the brand is well-positioned in the market to attract and retain clients.

  • Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales and business development team.

  • Performance Management: Implement performance metrics and regular reviews to ensure the team meets or exceeds targets.

  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.

What you bring
  • Extensive experience in the professional services; functional experience in management, strategy, or business development

  • Experience leading and scaling a high-growth start-up, preferably in a leadership position with direct reports and responsibility over P&L, proven experience in managing complex projects or teams

  • Proven track record working with international HQ

Bonus Experience

  • Experience in enterprise-grade business development and sales and delivering sales KPIs

  • Experience as a country manager or in market entry and growth strategy formation

  • Experience working closely with media & entertainment industry
