Position Summary:

The Regional Business Specialist (RBS) – Indian Health Services will be responsible for identifying, creating, and implementing ideal opportunities within potential growth segments. The primary area of focus for the RBS-IHS will be Indian & Tribal Health having responsibility for engaging with customers, identifying educational opportunities, and ensuring access for appropriate patients at IHS hospitals, health centers, and health stations.

The RBS-IHS must have:

  • Understanding of IHS & Tribal specific credentialing and access protocols.
  • Knowledge of Indian & Tribal Health Personnel, Policies, and Procedures for appropriate engagement with customers. Including but not limited to, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, Program Plans, and Policies.
  • Understanding of Indian & Tribal Health mission, vision, core values, key strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Understanding of established protocol, and processes for protocol review and approval within the Indian & Tribal Health system.
  • Deep established relationships with Key Federal Leaders.

The RBS-IHS will work directly with the Market Access team, Marketing, Regional Directors, and Key Account Managers to optimize and efficiently support existing and emerging customer treatment protocols.  

The key skill sets required for a Regional Business Specialist-IHS are Strategic Vision, Leadership, Accountability, Adaptability, Business Acumen, Judgement, and Collaboration. 

The Regional Business Specialist-IHS will need to demonstrate high work standards and work in accordance with all company policies and code of conduct.

Specific Duties Overall (however not for every customer stakeholder):

  • Execute business development strategies and marketing plans effectively to meet or exceed business objectives
  • Review, analyze and interpret market reports to ensure quarterly and annual objectives are met
  • Identify specific opportunities and barriers within emerging customer segments to ensure company success
  • Provide information and education to all Health Care professionals (MD’s, DO’s, NP’s, PA’s) who have the ability to utilize injectable Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)
  • Assist with the development and delivery of field training in support of the strategic business development plan
  • Ensure compliant and effective cross-functional leadership and collaboration with all Braeburn partners
  • Ensure reinforcement of Braeburn compliance policies and Braeburn Code of Conduct
  • Exercise sound judgment and ensure integrity and compliance with company policies in all activities and communications
  • Represent Braeburn at local and select national conferences
  • Manage all business development expenses and budgets

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS / BA) required, Advanced Business Degree a plus
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience with at least 5+ years of successful experience in Federal Accounts. Sales and/or Market Access leadership and/or field market access (FRM / FRS) experience in biotech / specialty pharmaceutical / device industries is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful Federal Account Manager experience (with a heavy focus in IHS)
  • Knowledge of Federal payer systems, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes
  • Demonstrated experience with complex customer protocol navigation and contracting specific to integrated health systems, and other large accounts
  • In-depth understanding of reimbursement/insurance coverage for physician-administered treatments
  • Proven product launch experience leading others in a highly complicated and competitive environment
  • Experience selling specialty products, in particular, physician-administered products such as implantable or injectable medication technologies in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work autonomously to find new business opportunities
  • Valid driver’s license and in good standing
  • Veteran or retired military with a military ID (DOD-CAC) card (retired, reserve, guard, or retired spouse) to access military installations is a plus
  • Willing to travel both regionally & nationally as needed (Up to 70-80%)
