Job Summary:
The Solution Architect role within Belden's Global Products & Solutions (GPS) organization for the Enterprise Solutions business is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, building, and validating network infrastructure design projects and solution offerings within the Hospitality vertical. With in-depth technology knowledge about Belden solutions, the Solution Architect is expected to lead the effort in developing use cases and best practices in a multitude of customer industries and applications. Innovation and sharing technology insights both internally and externally is part of their daily tasks. This is a remote role with the need to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally, and will report to the VP, Global Solutions Enterprise Solutions.
You will make a difference in the following ways:
- Developing network infrastructure solutions for Belden's target verticals.
- Providing feedback and guidance for greenfield and brownfield network project designs.
- Communicating with key internal and external project stakeholders to develop overall solutions incorporating Belden technologies.
- Developing standard practices and common designs for use cases utilizing Belden technologies.
- Supporting vertical sales and solutions consultant teams in the development of technical designs to meet customer requirements.
- Documenting and visualizing network and/or digital automation network designs in the forms of design prerequisites, topology drawings, reports, configuration procedures, performance metrics, and demonstrations.
- Validating designs in Belden engineering centers and Belden Customer Innovation Center (CIC) labs with Belden GPS teams including validation of Belden technology with third party products.
- Staying apprised and educated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies that influence future design innovation.
- Reportingprojects and customers feedback to Sales, Product Management, and Belden Engineering/R&D.
What you bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with focus on Telecommunications, IT, or Optical Communications; Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT network design, configuration, or construction.
- Relevant Knowledge: Strong technical understanding in IT networking technologies and software solutions such as Ethernet IP, SD-WAN, Wifi, 5GNR; PON, WDM, etc. Knowledge and experience with CRM system tools (e.g. SFDC, DeskPro).
- Demonstrated Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and recommend solutions to manage customer challenges; Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills; Ability to translate complex, technical information into comprehensible conversation with a non-technical audience.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $140,000 to $168,500, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
