TransUnion is a major credit reference agency, and we offer specialist services in fraud, identity and risk management, automated decisioning and demographics. We support organisations across a variety of sectors including finance, retail, telecommunications, utilities, gaming, government and insurance.

What You'll Bring:

Our Senior Business Development Managers sell complex, high value solutions and services as well as planning and facilitating complex negotiations, typically over both long strategic + short tactical sales cycles, to reach long-term agreements and commitments.

So whether you are a Sales professional wanting to make a step up or an existing SBDM looking for a new challenge in a growing global business we’d be keen to hear from you!

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Achieve an annual revenue target within our Diversified Markets channel (Telecoms, Debt, Utilities)
  • Personally lead, manage, and run the sales process – from prospecting to deal closure – bringing in additional internal resource as required (e.g. sales specialists, product owners)
  • Produce professional and compelling material to support the positioning of TransUnion services
  • Manage high-profile accounts spanning broad geographic areas, representing significant revenue, and having diverse and complex needs
  • Able to identify and act on immediate tactical and strategic ‘longer play’ opportunities
  • Identify, build, and develop relationships with key client stakeholders to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Develop a strong personal network of contacts internally
  • Ongoing awareness of the sectors – regulation, trends, challenges, advancements etc
  • Provide valuable information back into the business – client and competitor
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of business, finance, products/services, the market, and the needs of the sector
  • Negotiate and manage the contracting process between TransUnion & client organisations
  • Innovation is encouraged! Create market opportunities for new products and solutions, building a business case, and championing through the product development process.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience of working in a client facing, strategic sales role or selling complex solutions to clients within a data driven, financial or regulated environment
  • Drive and enthusiasm are needed as you’ll be responsible for your own accounts and prospecting activity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence as some occasional travel will be expected

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of Credit Reference Agency data would be highly advantageous
  • Experience in Debt / Utilities / Telco sectors would also be very beneficial
