Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM TO 3:30 PM PST

Job description:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, executing vital accounting tasks and contributing to our financial health and compliance. Your expertise will drive the efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes, ensuring that we remain a step ahead in a dynamic, global market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-On Accounting Execution: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely, accurate financial reports for monthly and yearly closings, adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Records Management: Maintain well-organized and updated financial records to support efficient auditing and transparent reporting.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with various teams to address financial discrepancies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial controls and processes.
  • Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and facilitating effective communication between auditors and the company.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve accounting procedures and workflows to boost efficiency and accuracy using advanced technology and industry best practices.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to aid strategic decision-making and highlight areas for performance enhancement.
  • Ad Hoc Projects and Financial Modeling: Take on special projects as needed and develop financial models that provide deep insights into our business operations.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and manage forecasts and budgets to ensure robust financial planning and resource allocation.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial reporting and record keeping.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable using Zoom/Google Hangouts.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles.
  • Minimum two years experience with US-based small to medium businesses.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in leading a small finance team (2-3 members).
