Job description

iSchool seeks a passionate and dedicated Community Moderator to join our Team. As a Community Moderator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of innovators and leaders by providing guidance, support, and educational expertise.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring Communications:

Regularly monitor the internal messaging network between students and tutors.

Ensure all interactions are respectful and appropriate, and adhere to established guidelines.

Identify and address any inappropriate or concerning behavior promptly.

Enforcement of Guidelines:

Enforce communication policies and community standards consistently.

Issue warnings or take corrective actions when guidelines are violated.

Mediate conflicts and resolve disputes between students and tutors.

Support and Assistance:

Provide support to students and tutors regarding the use of the messaging network.

Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Offer guidance on effective and respectful communication practices.

Feedback and Reporting:

Gather feedback from students and tutors on their communication experiences.

Prepare reports on the overall health and activity of the messaging network.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve communication policies and practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on best practices and trends in community management and online communication.

Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the messaging network.

Participate in training sessions to ensure compliance with community guidelines.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching, preferably with a focus on technology and innovation.

- Working with Children: Experience working with children, understanding their unique needs and challenges.

- Educational Software: Familiarity with educational software and tools.
