The Team
Kraken is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to support our Australian entities. Our international accounting team is committed to becoming a world-class accounting unit, ensuring a complete and accurate close in the shortest time possible.
As we continue to develop and refine our processes and controls, we seek motivated individuals who are eager to dive into the details and make a real impact.

The Opportunity
Lead management reporting, forecasting and financial management oversight for Kraken’s Australian entities
Work with the global finance team, support the preparation of financial statements for our Australian entities, as the Australian subject matter expert
Responsible for building and executing all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements related to the Australian legal entities, working with the global finance team (e.g. FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax)
Manage compliance with the financial requirements you must meet as the holder of an Australian financial services (AFS) license
Ensure successful annual audits for Kraken’s Australian entities and support any applicable changes required
Support Kraken’s Australian growth and strategic objectives through analysis such as LTV/CAC
Act as the Finance Manager of our local entities in Australia and be involved with the relevant internal governance committees, directors, responsible managers and decision making bodies
Skills You Should HODL
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including a blend of public accounting and FP&A, with experience in a startup or FinTech company
A Chartered Professional Accountant designation in Australia (CPA, CA)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Experience with financial reporting with such entities as the ASIC and the ATO
Experienced in dealing with AFSL financial obligations, with focus on RG166 and RG133 and RG251
An understanding of the accounting and financial reporting required to support custodial services, trading in derivatives, digital assets and managed investment schemes
High-energy individual and self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Passion for cryptocurrency adoption and personal experience with crypto
