The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales process. This position is instrumental in maintaining strong customer relationships and driving sales performance. The Sales Assistant contributes to the overall success of the sales department by providing administrative support and assisting in sales-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the sales team in handling customer inquiries and follow-ups
Help prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients
Support the sales representatives in creating and maintaining sales documents and reports
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order processing
Manage and update the sales database with customer information and sales activity
Assist in conducting market research and analyzing sales data
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining sales records
Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing product availability
Participate in the organization and execution of sales events or promotions
Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a sales or customer service role
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Knowledge of CRM software is a plus
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
