Your missions

About Plenty

Plenty is on a mission to make fresh and clean fruits and vegetables more accessible to everyone.  Our cutting-edge indoor, vertical farms produce extraordinary yields using a fraction of the land and water outdoor farms need.  Nutrient-rich, mouth-watering and locally grown, our crops help people, communities and our planet to be healthier and more resilient.

The people and teams who make up Plenty are at the core of how we do this.  We are a collaborative and innovative bunch.  We are passionate about our contributions to Plenty, the communities around us and our planet, but never take ourselves too seriously.  We’re down to Earth, we grow together, and we always find a way.  Most importantly, we are growing for a better tomorrow, today.

About the role

Plenty is looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our Deployment team.  In this role you will work closely with our Program and Construction teams to facilitate planning and building our farms.  You will manage multiple projects ranging from ground-up full-scale farm construction and facility upgrades to future farm deployments.

What you'll do
  • Develop Owner’s (integrated) project schedules for capital projects, with guidance from the Program Manager and Business Unit Leaders for all phases of the project cycle, including due diligence, design, permit/approvals, plant supply, procurement, construction, commissioning, project close out, and operational launch.
  • Maintain Owners project schedules for in-flight capital projects including publishing recurring reports and dashboards on behalf of the deployment team. This includes but is not limited to (i) Integrated schedules for all activities and go-forward work to completion (ii) Primary, secondary and tertiary critical path timelines (iii) Management level schedule snapshots, (iv) and Owner Furnished Equipment land date trackers.
  • Create Owner’s proposed construction schedules for incorporation in Contractor RFPs (greenfield sites, major retrofits).  Emphasis on early procurement strategies to drive accelerated deployment timelines and Owner milestones for incremental delivery of Contractor scopes supporting Owner’s concurrent farm launch activities.
  • Conduct analysis on schedules and provide recommendations to project teams to accelerate timelines and/or mitigate against delays through recovery options. This includes but is not limited to: (i) critical path analysis, (ii) trend analysis of Contractor schedule revisions, (iii) Analysis of contractor delay claims and documentation of GC delays with respect to contractual terms, (iv) construction schedule recovery, and (v) construction progress reporting and earned value.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time (1 week per month) to perform construction site visits (domestic and international) for progress reporting.
  • Other ad hoc schedule projects and duties as assigned - we’re a growing scale-up so you never know what you might get the opportunity to work on as we grow.
What you'll bring to the table
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a project scheduler for real estate capital projects.
  • Preferred experience on projects over $100 million in contract value for data centers, labs, food and beverage processing facilities, infrastructure, or other complex projects incorporating equipment installations and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in Primavera 6, SmartSheet and Google Drive file management.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously for projects with diverse project delivery methods (Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk, in addition to Design-Bid-Build.) in diverse regions as Plenty scales.
  • Ability to effectively present complex schedules and concepts in simple terms to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership and individual contributors.
  • Desire to apply career learning to improve scheduling tools and to build an internal schedule management system for best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
