Your missions

We at sevdesk

At sevdesk, we're more than just accounting and tax software. We're empowering founders, self-employed individuals, and small businesses to reclaim their time with intuitive tools. Committed to excellence, we're constantly evolving and fostering a culture of innovation and passion.

Your mission

You are passionate about being both a professional and a disciplined leader. The quality, productivity and continuous improvement of your teams are just as important to you as the product line you and your team are responsible for.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • You are end-to-end responsible for all central product components as well as the overall cloud infrastructure of our products (including development, testing and staging environments).
  • You lead teams of highly motivated, specialized managers with a strong understanding of products, technology and our customers’ needs, enabling them to constantly improve themselves.
  • You play a leadership role model to your managers and empower them to live our leadership principles as successful as you within their teams.
  • You are the go-to person for all feature teams when it comes to centralized functionalities and cloud infrastructure topics.
  • You collaborate closely with your product and design peers to achieve the best possible results and ensure your teams develop products according to agile principles.
  • You are in the lead to scale our systems and ensure highest reliability at a very high security level.
  • You are managing all partnerships relationships of our cloud infrastructure partners.
  • Additionally, you work closely with the People & Culture team to attract the best talent for your teams and help in their successful development.

Your Qualification:

  • You have at least 8 years of experience in the disciplinary management of a team of engineering managers in software engineering / cloud infrastructure and several years of experience as a developer / cloud specialist (m/f/x).
  • Ideally, you are familiar with one of the following technologies: Spring Boot, React, Kotlin or Java. You have experience with modern software architecture patterns and are rock solid with DevOps practices such as YBIYRI, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud solutions (we use AWS).
  • Domain-Driven Design and Continuous Delivery are in your blood, and if something goes wrong, a post-mortem is more important to you than assigning blame.
  • You see yourself as a 'servant leader' or ‘playing coach’ and you have no problems jumping in by yourself if it’s needed.
  • You communicate fluently in English with internal and external partners and mediate easily between 'tech' and 'non-tech'.
