Job Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This role is critical due to our extensive geography, diverse regulations, rapidly increasing number of leads, and significant in-house product development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Information Technology and Business Departments to ensure our infrastructure supports optimal company growth.

Requirements

What Will You Do?
  • Collaboration and Solution Discovery: Work with Business Departments, IT Delivery, and Operation teams to find optimal solutions, considering cost efficiency, time to market, and quality.
  • Automation and Optimization: Automate routine tasks, focusing on resource consumption, infrastructure planning, and optimal use of paid SaaS.
  • Documentation and Standards: Develop and share documentation (vision/roadmap, NFRs), lead technical choices, and contribute to technical standards.
  • Third-party Software and Negotiations: Participate in third-party software selection and vendor negotiations.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Optimize the company’s software and hardware portfolio.
Delivery and Execution
  • Policy Development and Enforcement: Create and enforce infrastructure policies and best practices to improve utilization, reliability, and performance.
  • FinOps Guidance: Guide teams on FinOps principles and optimization policies.
  • Solution Architecture Support: Support infrastructure-level solution architecture.
  • Monitoring and Forecasting: Implement tools for monitoring (anomaly detection) and forecasting infrastructure expenses.
  • Workload and Cost Management: Address workload placement issues, develop transparent cost allocation reporting, and apply cloud economic principles to save costs.
  • Service Catalog Development: Build the infrastructure part of the Service Catalog and stay updated on AWS technologies and cost rate changes.
  • Build vs. Buy Principle: Ensure consideration of the “build versus buy” principle to support business needs.
People
  • Architect Collaboration: Work with solution and domain architects to align infrastructure with best practices and domain roadmaps.
  • System Optimization: Collaborate with SREs, infrastructure engineers, and developers to enhance system performance and infrastructure efficiency.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with IT management to align infrastructure with business tactical and strategic goals.

Key Skills Required:

  • 2+ years of working experience as a Cloud Architect or Infrastructure Solution Architect (fintech, retail).
  • Practical experience with any public cloud (AWS is an advantage) and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to identify system reliability and performance issues and offer validated solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong business relationships; experience in high-level negotiation.
  • Good documentation writing skills (specifications, requirements, instructions, roadmap).
  • Essential language: English.

Beneficial Skills:

  • Understanding of general software development processes within the Agile framework (Scrum, SAFe).
  • Practical experience in building and maintaining medium-to-large distributed architecture for mission-critical tasks (~1k+ components with several thousand deployments in multiple regions).
  • Experience in budgeting, contract management, software asset management, and company-wide CMDB tools implementation.
