Finance Manager, Special Projects

Location: Italy/Spain/Netherlands, EMEA (Remote or Hybrid)

Our Meetings and Events team is constantly growing, and we are looking to add a Finance Manager, Special Projects.

As a Finance Manager, Special Projects, You Will

  • Lead the cleanup and reconciliation of balance sheets, identifying and resolving discrepancies of multiple entities.
  • Lead financial closure of complex projects and train team members to efficiently close projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple company codes.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Improve the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Provide guidance and training to accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and compliance reviews.
  • Utilize SAP and other accounting software to optimize financial reporting and analysis.

You Should Have The Following Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Expert at Excel.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Extensive experience with SAP, including proficiency in financial modules.
  • Proven ability to clean up balance sheets and reconcile complex accounts across multiple entities.
  • Understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and drive change.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
