Beem Credit Union is seeking a pivotal VP, Enterprise Data leader who is accountable for shaping and executing our organization's data strategy. What you’ll do:
Data Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, market trends, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a strategic approach to data management and utilization.
- Define data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data lifecycle management processes to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.
- Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation, such as advanced analytics, AI/machine learning, and predictive modeling, to drive business growth and competitive advantage.
Data Operations:
- Lead data operations to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise data assets, enabling effective data collection, processing, storage, and retrieval.
- Drive data analytics efforts to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization, enhancing business performance and competitiveness.
Data Integration:
- Oversee data integration processes and tools to facilitate seamless data flow across systems, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness for informed decision-making.
- Review and interpret valuable insights, trends, and correlations to drive strategic business outcomes and operational efficiency.
Data Governance:
- Establish robust data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
- Oversee effective data governance frameworks and controls to mitigate risks, enhance data integrity, and build trust in data-driven initiatives.
Data Architecture:
- Oversee the design and implementation of robust enterprise data architecture, including data models, schemas, and storage solutions, aligning data architecture with business needs and scalability requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and platforms to optimize data architecture, infrastructure, and performance, driving innovation and agility in data management.
Data Platform Management:
- Oversee data platform management, including databases, data warehouses, and analytics platforms, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of data storage and retrieval mechanisms.
- Implement robust data security measures, access controls, and disaster recovery plans to protect sensitive data assets and ensure business continuity.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Digital Solutions in technology, operations and business to understand Enterprise data requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
- Communicate complex data concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Talent Development and Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of enterprise data professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
A little about your qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in experience including several years at senior levels overseeing Data and Technology in mid to large organization, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering impactful results.
- Proven experience in data management, analytics, governance, architecture, and platform management roles, with a strong track record of driving data-driven strategies and initiatives.
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing a modern cloud data platform, leveraging Azure to enable scalable, flexible, and cost-effective data solutions.
- Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, data integration technologies, and data analytics tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.
What you'll gain:
- Competitive base salary; reviewed annually. The salary range for this position is $177,300 to $216,700.
