Job Description:
Zappos is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager of 3P Marketplace Sales and Brand Acquisition to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales on Zappos through third-party marketplace channels, particularly on Amazon's FBA platform, while also spearheading efforts to onboard new brands onto the Zappos platform.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales performance on third-party marketplace platforms, with a focus on Amazon's FBA.
2. Monitor marketplace performance metrics, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and profitability, and implement initiatives to optimize results.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations, to ensure alignment of marketplace initiatives with overall business objectives.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at third-party marketplace platforms to leverage promotional opportunities and drive growth.
5. Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of partnerships with new brands to expand Zappos' product assortment and enhance the overall customer experience.
6. Develop and implement a pipeline management process for brand acquisition, including prospecting, outreach, pitch presentations, and contract negotiation.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in e-commerce and marketplace management, and provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
8. Collaborate with the Marketplace Operations team to ensure seamless integration of new brands onto the Zappos platform and provide ongoing support to optimize their performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or brand acquisition, preferably within the retail or footwear industry.
3. Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets on third-party marketplace platforms, particularly Amazon's FBA.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative initiatives to drive business results.
7. Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Passion for retail, e-commerce, and the footwear industry, with a customer-centric mindset.
This role is open to candidates physically located in the following metropolitan statistical areas: Austin, TX; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA. Candidates who are not physically located in one of these areas may not be considered for this role.
The base pay range for this position is $123,500-140,000 per year ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
