Job description

At Beam, you get to do work that matters. We’re solving the world’s toughest social problems. And we’re growing fast 🚀

It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. But we take care of everyone who works here with everything from coaching to personal budgets and pay highly competitively.

You’ll be joining a company that’s already having a huge impact on people’s lives with a culture where you can be yourself, have fun and progress rapidly.

We're one of the Hottest 10 Startups in London according to WIRED magazine and one of LinkedIn’s Top 15 UK Startups.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to play a critical role in delivering Beam’s digital products that span internal tooling and SaaS, with a focus on our AI.

Reporting to Seb, our co-founder, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming little-changed welfare services like employment and housing with the latest technologies.

Our latest product, Magic Notes, is an AI-powered tool currently in the pilot phase, with the potential to drive huge efficiencies in social work.

This is a hands-on role. We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager who loves working with a team to deliver truly exceptional products that drive measurable impact.

Being part of our product team within Beam will mean experimenting, learning from our mistakes and successes, setting a sky-high quality bar for product, and influencing the strategic direction based on partner feedback and market demands.

Please note this role is London-based, working a minimum of 2 days per week from our Hoxton HQ, and we are unable to sponsor visas at this time.

You’ll be

    • Increasing our efficiency - both of the product and team, in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

    • Hands-on with product management - Managing multiple products and priorities, whilst being able to set the roadmap at a squad level

    • Establishing clear and measurable goals - Define and set meaningful goals, for which you hold yourself and our engineers accountable

    • Making evidence-based decisions - Uusing a mix of qualitative, quantitative, and market insights. You don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis, and if you find yourself there, you ask for help to get out of it.

    • Growing daily - Using mistakes as an opportunity for learning, and coaching your squad to deliver consistent high performance

You’ll have

    • A results-driven mindset - you thrive working towards ambitious team and individual KPIs

    • Hands-on experience as a product manager in a fast-paced tech company, and delivering world class products, with an obsessive eye for quality and detail. -

    • A track record of success - A proven history of successful product discovery and delivery working closely with engineers, designers and other PMs

    • Deep technical expertise - Understand well the mechanics, metrics, and levers of a B2B SaaS or tooling product with a specific focus on AI and automation, nice to have is a background in engineering, AI/ML or data science

    • Passion - A desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, excited by Beam’s company values, culture and ways of working

Sound like you? Perhaps you don’t feel you tick every box - that’s OK, we encourage those who feel 70/75% confident with the role, to please hit ‘Apply’, especially if you’re excited about helping kickstart a new era of opportunity for those left behind!
