A24 are a expert cloud business that has experienced growth from its 2006 IaaS origins in Japan, to become a global network, connectivity, and data control specialist. Working globally within Japan, UK, Europe, and the USA which, combined with in-depth technical understanding of connectivity technology, enables them to rapidly identify the best solution for each client. This newly created role will report to the Global CEO.


 

This role will be an opportunity for the right candidate to join an organisation with a global client base. The key purpose of the role is to plan, direct, maintain, and coordinate network installation, maintenance, and operations globally with their peers in the UK. You will oversee the operation of A24’s equipment in data centres and on-premises for customers through recruiting, leading, and mentoring teams of operations engineers.  

 

Responsibilities include:   

  • Strategic planning to ensure team members stay on schedule and meet and exceed the SLA & KPIs set by the company 
  • Response to support requests received by 3rd party support team 
  • Process internal service requests for A24 staff 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network problems 
  • Plan, direct, maintain, and coordinate installation, maintenance, and operations for of A24’s equipment in data centres and on-premises for customers
  • Recruit, manage, train and mentor a team of operations engineers. Either staff or 3rd party vendors 
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement. 

 



Requirements

Essential  

  • A tertiary qualification in IT or significant field experience 
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar / related leadership role within the Financial Services Sector 
  • Experience in effectively supervising an infrastructure operations team
  • Ideally certified on CISCO / JUNIPER network equipment


It would be desirable to have professional exposure to: 
  • Data center experience 
  • Systems - JIRA, NAGIOS 
  • Software- RedHat, Xen Server / VMware 
  • Networking Certifications- such as CCNA or CCNP, CCDA and CCDP  
  • Cloud- Experience with one of Azure, AWS, GCP
