Geotechnical Engineer - Retaining Wall Design Specialist

Position Overview: As a Geotechnical Engineer specializing in retaining wall design, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and implementation of mechanically stabilized retaining walls. Utilizing your expertise in soil analysis and slope stabilization, you will collaborate with project teams to deliver cost-effective and sustainable solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct design and analysis of mechanically stabilized retaining walls for various projects, including transportation infrastructure, commercial developments, and residential subdivisions. 
• Conduct thorough soil analysis to assess geotechnical conditions and determine appropriate design parameters for retaining walls. 
• Utilize slope stability analysis techniques to evaluate site conditions and develop effective slope stabilization measures. 
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate retaining wall designs into overall site plans and infrastructure layouts. 
  

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution. 
• At least 5 years relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering practice, with a focus on retaining wall design. 
• Strong understanding of mechanically stabilized retaining wall systems and their applications in various geotechnical settings. 
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and tools. 
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
