Our team is comprised of passionate engineers from Latin America, driven by the desire to create impactful products and solutions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby on Rails + React Lead to spearhead our engineering efforts. This individual will play a pivotal role in leading a team of talented engineers, driving project development, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions for ConvertKit.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of LatAm engineers in the development of plugins, integrations, and full-scale applications for ConvertKit.
• Allocate time effectively, spending 50% on code development and review (both React and Rails), ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Dedicate 25% of time to project estimates, architectural decisions, and technical strategy planning to ensure scalability and maintainability of solutions.
• Oversee people management tasks, including recruiting, interviewing, and mentoring team members, aiming to build a team of 6-8 engineers.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans.
• Drive the execution of work, and hold the team accountable to scoped commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Maintain a deep understanding of ConvertKit's API capabilities and future roadmap to align our solutions with their evolving needs.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, with a strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role, overseeing a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code and solutions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a focus on team development and project delivery.
• Experience working with remote teams, particularly in Latin America, is a plus.
