Position: Data Entry + Translation (Data entry focus)

Working Hours: M - F  or F - T PST

Salary Range: 1,000 to 1,200 USD Monthly

Type of contract: Independent contractor

Scope of the Role 

As a Data Entry + Translation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes, while also providing occasional translation support to facilitate communication with our team. Reporting to the Department Manager or Supervisor, you will be responsible for data entry tasks, primarily focused on inputting data into Excel spreadsheets and uploading it to Oracle systems. Additionally, you will assist with English to Spanish translation of documents and communication materials as needed.

Duties and responsibilities:

Data Entry (90-95%):

  • Collect data from employees and other sources.
  • Accurately input data into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Upload data to Oracle systems following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes and minimize time wastage.

Translation (5-10%):

  • Assist with English-to-Spanish translation of documents and communication materials.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in translated content to facilitate communication with our Mexico team.

Other responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in data management.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance proficiency in industry-specific terminology and data entry best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Basic proficiency in Excel; familiarity with basic functions required, advanced functions not necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong translation skills preferred.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to industry-specific terminology with provided training.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; no prior experience is required.
