The Bobigny site, headquarters and Research and Innovation center for the Visibility Systems Business Group (VIS), develops high-performance and innovative lighting systems that assist drivers and passengers in all weather conditions, day or night, and in their various activities inside the vehicle.

We are looking for an Embedded Product Cybersecurity Engineer (M/F) to analyze and identify risks and propose appropriate countermeasures.

Your challenges?

  • Design the security of our electronic control units (ECU) in accordance with ISO 21434 and UN-ECE regulations 155, 156, and 157, the VALEO cybersecurity methodology, and CSMS processes.
  • Work from the design phase to production (from specifications to test execution to production plants) on security issues in strict confidentiality.
  • Through your technology watch, test new security methods and stay updated on the state-of-the-art, standards, and regulations in automotive security.
  • Plan and conduct the analysis of OEM requirements and security risk assessment using models such as TARA/TVRA.
  • Develop and execute the security development plan.
  • Ensure cybersecurity architecture through SW/HW vulnerability analysis, specifications and reporting of positive and negative test cases, cybersecurity production planning, audits and assessments, cybersecurity monitoring, and security cases during the development phase.
  • Contribute to the deployment of ISO 21434 activities within our organization.
  • Develop and enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of ECUs.
  • Test and identify vulnerabilities in networks and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Participate in responding to cybersecurity aspects of tenders.

About you…

  • Holder of a Bac+5 degree in computer science, information technology, or systems engineering, with 3 years of successful experience in cybersecurity in the automotive sector.
  • Proficient with cryptographic algorithms (e.g., AES, ECDSA, RSA, SHA-2/SHA-3 hash functions) as well as microcontroller architecture, AUTOSAR, and SecoC.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to analyze cybersecurity issues and requirements and develop appropriate cybersecurity controls (e.g., secure boot, secure debugging, secure updates, secure storage, secure communication, secure diagnostics).
  • Given the international scope of the position, proficiency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, hacking techniques, and the ISO/SAE 21434 standard is an additional asset.
