CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.
Overview
We are seeking a highly seasoned VP of Business Development professional with a tenacity for relationship building to join our team. This position will focus on building and maintaining strategic relationships with the public sector and providing thought leadership and innovation in the relentless pursuit of helping our clients achieve their goals.

10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the public sector, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and forging key relationships
Established network and relationships within the public sector, including with executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders
Deep understanding of owners’ representation, architectural, engineering and design, construction, facilities maintenance, and/or higher-level education
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and influence decision-making within public sector organizations
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex business development initiatives, driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for driving innovation and making a positive impact on public health outcomes within government programs
Responsibilities
Responsibility for development strategies, new business prospects, services, project management and client relations
Responsible for maintaining client satisfaction and profitability for projects; primary area of work is with public sector clients
Plan, evaluate and implement business development strategies and increase company growth
Monitor and track pursuits
Further build and maintain existing client relationships and introduce new client relationships
Recommend effective teaming arrangements
Meets with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work
Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development
Ensures that internal communication and coordination of efforts occurs, and schedules are met
Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential teaming partners and discovering and exploring opportunities
Supports development of proposals, marketing materials, fee proposals and contract review
Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally $116,400.00 to $146,300.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer.
