Overview:

The role of a SAP HANA Database Architect is crucial to the organization as they are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing SAP HANA database solutions. They play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, stability, and security of the database architecture, ultimately supporting the overall business operations and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing SAP HANA database solutions based on business requirements
Optimizing database performance and ensuring high availability
Conducting data modeling and implementing best practices for data persistence
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP HANA with other systems
Monitoring and troubleshooting database issues and providing timely resolution
Developing and implementing data security and compliance measures
Leading performance tuning and optimization efforts for SAP HANA database
Designing and implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Providing technical guidance and support to the development team
Participating in the planning and execution of database migration and upgrades

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as a SAP HANA Database Architect or a similar role
Expertise in SAP HANA database administration and architecture
Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning
Strong understanding of data modeling and persistence concepts
Experience in designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Knowledge of database security and compliance standards
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Relevant SAP certifications would be an advantage
