We are currently seeking a Grants and Data Manager to join our Federal Funds Management (FFM) team as we help our clients navigate complex funding landscapes and successfully identify and secure grant funds made available under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 and the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act. This is a full-time position that will be remotely based with client travel involved as needed. The ideal candidate should have grants management knowledge, experience working with large and complex data sets, be a self-starter and have a passion for public service or emergency management.
Grants and Data Manager Description
- Maintain grants management information datasets and data management processes and systems.
- Support local governments and state government agencies in their efforts to identify, secure, and manage federal funding.
- Coordinate with a team of Hagerty program/grant managers and state agency stakeholders to address information/data shortfalls and develop solutions.
- Define, collect, and analyze complex and/or large data sets on federal and state grant programs using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Prepare internal and external reports, including client and public facing project reports, grants reports, legislative reports, progress reports, and grant monitoring reports.
- Assist with the establishment/maintenance of data and record keeping systems.
- Assess and analyze federal programs under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and other federal grant programs.
- Perform additional grants management and administrative tasks as assigned, such as supporting team members in other technical disciplines within the program.
Candidates for the role of Grants and Data Manager must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, business administration, public administration, political science, information technology, or another related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, financial management, budget management, or grants management with an emphasis on data and data management. Alternatively, at least 5 years of professional experience in information technology or data management with some experience in grants management.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office products (including advanced features in Excel, such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), PowerBI, SharePoint, Teams, Google Drive, and Adobe. Advanced skills preferred.
- Strong quantitative analysis capabilities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret administrative and financial policy, program requirements, and Federal regulations.
Candidates for the role of Grants and Data Manager may also have the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance, business administration, public administration, political science, information technology, or another related field.
- Experience researching complex issues and presenting outcomes and insights to a supervisor or large audience.
- The ability to be flexible and demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
