IT Lead Generation Job Specification – IT Managed Services/Security

Position Summary:

The IT Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for initiating the first stage of the sales process,
generating potential customer interest or inquiry into products or services of a business. This role
involves heavy outbound calling and strategic communication to qualify leads and set up sales
opportunities for the IT sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct 160-180 outbound calls daily to identify potential leads.
• Achieve a minimum of 3 hours of talk time per day with prospects.
• Utilize CRM systems to manage and record all lead information.
• Engage with prospects via telephone and email to analyse their needs.
• Pre-qualify potential leads by determining the prospect’s budget, authority, need, and
timeline (BANT).
• Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers.
• Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
• Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting
follow-up communications.
• Work closely with the sales team to grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly
revenue goals.


Requirements
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Number of dials: 160-180 per day
• Talk time: Minimum of 3 hours per day
• Number of qualified leads generated
• Conversion rate from lead to opportunity
• Number of appointments scheduled

Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years sales or IT specific lead generation experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of managed IT Services
• Understanding of Cyber Security
• Proven experience in lead generation or telemarketing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and telephone systems.
• Ability to analyse business opportunities and read situations well.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

This role requires a high level of dedication and persistence. The ideal candidate will have a strong
understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing
deals. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies is also essential.
