As DEIF continues to grow in North America, we are looking for a Sales Manager with extensive experience in PLCs to generate new business opportunities and build long-lasting client relationships across the US.
The ideal candidate will have a valuable and proven track record in business-to-business sales of PLCs and can build and maintain strong customer relationships on all organizational levels. Furthermore, the Sales Manager should have experience with inverters and variable frequency drives. The candidate must be self-driven, have a growth mindset, and thrive in a customer-oriented position where you are responsible for the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation through deal closure.

Key Responsibilities
As the Sales Manager, your main responsibility is to acquire and grow healthy customer relationships within your assigned territory, focusing on PLC along with DEIF’s full product line.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Prospect, develop, and close leads for PLC and full product line sales in your territory using a variety of sources, e.g. cold calls, tradeshows and conferences
- Develop strong relationships with new clients and influencers to drive market awareness of DEIF’s PLC offerings
- Create, manage, and develop pipeline activities
- Nurture and grow designated accounts
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from prospecting through deal closure
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the sales strategy
- Provide technical information, presentations, and product demonstrations to customers
- Carry out administrative tasks in IT systems such as CRM
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales of PLCs
- Solid experience with inverters and variable frequency drives
- Experience in power management and distribution is an advantage
- A “hunter” mentality, persistently pursuing sales opportunities in a competitive marketplace
- Experience with the full sales cycle - from initial lead generation to deal closure
- Proven record of closing new sales deals with new and existing customers
- Ability to travel and meet with potential customers as needed
- A self-starter who works well independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with different organizational levels
- Experience working in CRM systems
Start date: As soon as possible
Travel: Up to 50%, primarily within the US and Canada
