Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/d) - NodeJs

We are a team responsible for the catalogs, and these catalogs are essential to the core functionality of SAP LeanIX. They contain extensive knowledge about almost all available software. Our goal is to make accessing this information a pleasant experience for both our customers and internal teams. We achieve this by developing intuitive and efficient services, APIs and user interfaces. Although we work independently, we collaborate closely with other teams. We rely on real customer insights and collect metrics to make informed decisions.

At SAP LeanIX Product and Engineering, we embrace a hybrid remote work model, which allows us the benefits of in-person collaboration along with the flexibility to work from home as needed. Therefore, we hire only within commuting distance to our hubs in Bonn, Ljubljana, Berlin, and Dresden, and we expect our employees to come to the office multiple times per week.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Additionally:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Node.js & Typescript, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong relational database experience (ACID, Query optimisation, scaling techniques).
• Familiarity with up-to-date software development tools and industry best practices is highly desirable.
• Open communication style and fluent written and spoken English skills are required

Bonus:

• Ability to work in Java and/or Python would be a plus
• Experience in in frontend development using component oriented frameworks (e.g. Angular)
