Mandated by Mazars Global Executive Board, the Technology & digital solutions team is leading Mazars digital transformation to unleash the next stage of Mazars growth. Specifically, the transformation will allow easier collaboration across geographies, quicker scalable service offering to clients in a safe, modern and sustainable way. As a result, Mazarians will enjoy a seamless experience and deliver more value to clients every day.  

To reach these goals, Technology & digital solutions transformation programme aims at consolidating the IT operations from a multi-local model spread across 99+ countries into a global model. This includes the infrastructure and the operating model design needed to support Mazars business, people and clients now and in the future.

Senior DevOps Engineer

Role purpose, accountabilities, experience, knowledge, and skills

The Cloud Platform product team is responsible for designing and building Azure landing zones at global enterprise scale with a multi-subscription Azure environment that accounts for scale, security, governance, compliance, networking, and identity. The team provisions and manages Azure subscriptions, Azure PaaS- and IaaS services, and assess new Azure services and other cloud technologies. The team has a close collaboration with colleagues from Global Information Security and Compliance, to continually improve the security posture for all compute workloads.

We're on the lookout for a talented and visionary Senior DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our global cloud platform. As a key member of our truly global team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working closely with IT, Innovation, DevOps teams to deliver exceptional, and scalable cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a technical product owner, developing medium-to-long term strategies for product lines.
• Forge a Clear Product Vision and Strategy:
• Definine and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy. You'll align our global cloud platform with the company's overarching IT strategy, based on business objectives, giving you the chance to make a significant impact on our future growth.
• Craft an Adaptable Product Roadmap:
• We encourage creativity and adaptability in your role as you create and maintain a dynamic product roadmap. This will encompass both short-term and long-term initiatives, empowering you to steer our cloud platform's evolution towards greater success.
• Collaborate with world leading cloud computing companies to develop and deliver solutions that enable departments to easily deploy infrastructure and services using code.
• Innovate using the most up to date products and tools available in the market, in order to deliver complex architectures including multi-cloud.
• Coordinate with technical staff and colleagues in non-technical roles to design solutions for use across Mazars that encourage industry best practice.
• Champion Agile and Scrum:
• You'll be one of our Agile and Scrum evangelists, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. Embrace the power of Agile methodologies to drive efficiency, productivity, and exceptional teamwork.
• In this setting you will collaborate with the Head of Infrastructure & Platforms, the Enterprise Architect, and other Product Owners in Global IT.
• Engage with Key Stakeholders:
• Prepare to collaborate and engage with influential stakeholders, including CIOs, Innovation teams, and other product owners. Your ability to align product initiatives and garner support will be instrumental in propelling our global cloud platform to new heights.
• Impactful Decision-Making:
• Your expertise and experience will empower you to prioritize requirements effectively. Embrace the power of saying "not yet" when it comes to decision-making, ensuring that our focus remains on delivering the most impactful features.
• Drive Success with Product Metrics:
• Define and track relevant product metrics and KPIs to gauge product performance and user satisfaction. Your data-driven approach will guide us towards continuous improvement and customer delight.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent by experience.
• Be a self-starter, who has moderate to extensive experience across a number of specialisms, e.g.:
  • hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Containerisation
• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in the cloud services or SaaS industry
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies, including defining a product vision and roadmap.
• You’re intimately familiar with most products from the cloud service providers, mainly Microsoft Azure. AWS/GCP are most definitely a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders, including CIOs, Innovation teams, and product owners. Convincing others is your forte.
• Visionary mindset with the ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with overall business objectives.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing market trends and technology advancements to drive innovation within the cloud platform.
• Genuine passion for cloud services and a strong desire to stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends.
