YOUR IMPACT
Reporting to the Global Payroll Lead, the Payroll Analyst will be enthusiastic about effective and efficient execution of North America & EMEA payrolls and ensuring global payroll are optimized for the Group. With a strong ethic of compliance, controls and customer service, this role will manage payroll for US and any other countries via our payroll providers. Always changing due to our 100% inorganic growth strategy, the Payroll Analyst must be able to work seamlessly with payroll partner to spin up and shut down payrolls
Processes payroll every pay period for all legal entities globally, primarily US & EU
Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
Serve as a subject matter expert on US & EU payroll, payroll processes, changes & optimization; consult with our HR business partners and assist with due diligence where required.
Function as the primary contact for implementing new payroll processes and requirements when acquiring a new company or processing payroll in a new country
Manage and hold accountable vendors / business process outsourcing firms responsible for payroll processing
Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences
Handles changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles
Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws
Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
Honors confidentiality of employees' pay records
Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
Ensured accuracy of all payrolls and tax payments in conjunction with Group tax department
Serve as an interface between internal/external customers and the team members to ensure effective definition and delivery
Support the Payroll team in managing the day-to-day activities to support the HR, Payroll, Benefits Recruiting and other interrelated functions
Foster and maintain positive relationships with HR constituents, including senior management and the customer base
Provide overall prioritization of work assignments and coordination with team resources and their activities
Promote initiative-taking approaches to solve business needs/problems while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the payroll capabilities. Based on business need, negotiate priorities and support requirements with the IT department, functional staff at the field locations and others as appropriate
Plan, budget, and forecast Payroll needs and applications. Maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality
Document internal processes, training manuals, and controls
Provide guidance, coaching, and support to managers and staff regarding Payroll & Benefits initiatives, policies, and procedures
Participate in integration with other workstreams & assist with data updates, imports/exports
Perform quality control and audits of Payroll delivery
Run data audits, and research and resolve reporting/data entry discrepancies
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or other advanced degree in Finance / Business / Accounting
10+ years of international payroll processing
Proven track record in career progression
Sound business judgment, strategic and analytical capabilities
Exceptional influencing and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships cross functionally, including upper management
Familiarity with technical systems, data mining and data analysis
Supporting an international population is preferred
Supporting a remote workforce is preferred
Experience with GDPR or similar Data Privacy rules
Should be able to work on Presentations - Important level ppts to be presented to CXO's
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus, but not required
The right candidate will be an experienced US & EU Payroll professional with a successful track record of implementing and managing complex payroll operations worldwide. To be successful in this role, they will need to challenge the status quo and constantly seek innovative, simple, and standard solutions to complex payroll operations and programs.
