Location: fully remote (fully remote with office access in Warsaw, Poland)
Purpose
You will be responsible for analyzing business processes within the finance and controlling areas (especially Tax and Statutory Compliance areas), implementing improvements, and ensuring the effective use of the SAP FICO module. This role requires a deep understanding of financial processes and SAP FICO functionalities to support our business objectives and contribute to our ongoing success. Links business needs and Architecture definitions to technical solutions. Accountable for meeting business requirements and build activities within project delivery.
The Job (responsibilities):
- Analyze and evaluate existing business processes within the finance and controlling areas, identifying areas for improvement.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed SAP FICO requirements.
- Design, configure, and test SAP FICO solutions to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices.
- Provide support and training to users on SAP FICO functionalities, helping them to make the most of the system's capabilities.
- Collaborate with other SAP analysts and IT team members to ensure seamless integration of the FICO module with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Manage SAP FICO projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP developments and trends, recommending upgrades or enhancements as necessary.
- Provide technical assistance where needed.
- Ensure execution plan is on track and reports any major deviations in budget or timeline.
- Lead the development of operating procedures and user manuals for transition into routine operations.
- Enable building of knowledge databases for technology, solutions and domain areas.
- Lead tasks with architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management and other relevant stakeholders to enable a smooth deployment.
The Person (requirements):
- Higher Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FICO, including hands-on configuration and support.
- Strong understanding of financial and controlling processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cost center accounting, profit center accounting, and internal orders.
- Advantage: understanding of the influence of financial processes on tax calculation and filing; experience with Electronic Invoicing and Tax Online Filing integrations
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
- Desired: IT tools: SharePoint, Visio, JIRA, Azure DevOps
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development)
- ITFS Project Methodology knowledge
- English language – professional communication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
