Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We’re looking for a Product Manager for our Data & ML Infrastructure teams. These teams provide the core infrastructure and systems that enable everyone at Figma—from Finance to ML engineers—to ingest, transform, and orchestrate data at scale, in order to gain business insights and develop innovative product improvements across Figma’s product suite using AI capabilities.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the data needs across the company
  • Define a vision for core data systems, such as Figma’s data catalog, to enable key stakeholders across the company to easily understand and use data at scale to drive business needs and product improvements
  • Partner with a wide range of cross-functional partners across engineering, data science, research, and product to design infrastructure to train, deploy, and serve AI/ML models at scale
  • Partner with engineering to set strategy and priorities for teams and projects
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 4+ years in a technical product management role
  • Experience driving product for developer experiences, tools, workflows, and/or infrastructure
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex projects
  • Proven track record of implementing the full lifecycle of ML model development and deployment
  • Experience in two or more of the following areas:
    • Data warehousing/lakehousing (eg. Snowflake, BigQuery, Iceberg)
    • Data job orchestration (eg. Dagster, Airflow)
    • Batch and stream processing systems (eg. Kafka, Spark, Flink)
    • Data cataloging, discoverability, and life-cycle management
    • Data science models, integrations or data pipeline development (DBT, Fivetran, AirByte)
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Demonstrated ability bringing a product-centric and user-centric mindset to projects driven by platform teams
  • Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience working as an engineer
  • Experience working on models supporting generative AI use cases and/or LLMs
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
