Role Java Software Engineer II

Location Remote Tijuana Mexico

Purpose

Develop and implement E-Business initiatives and technical projects. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of E-Commerce systems and services,
Translate business needs into effective technical solutions using Java, AWS, JavaScript and other E-Business technologies
Participate in the migration of legacy applications into new cloud platforms

Functions

Delivery web applications using Java, AWS, JavaScript and other E-Business technologies.
Produce high quality code, test all delivered work and build documentation
Work closely with product managers, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and architects to design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain web applications, web services and other related features based on functional requirements and scope of work.
Supply and confirm adopted software development standards.
Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to the production support group as needed. Participate in performance tuning of web applications.

Qualifications

Education and Experience needed

1.5 - 2 years of web application development using Java, Spring Boot
Bachelor’s Degree
Understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.
Experience with JavaScript
Familiarity with Git + Github (experience with Github Actions is helpful).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, etc (Plus).
Experience working in Agile development environment and tools like Jira would be a plus
Strong problem solving and fixing abilities with a shown understanding of diverse environments and components - mainframe, Unix, Windows, database, networks, etc
Knowledge of automated testing tools (Plus)
