manage DBA activity. The position is responsible for the senior administration of PostgreSQL DBA
support across the company and clients around the globe within a matrix support and management
model.
Our company provides a browser-only CTI agent desktop for large-scale call center deployments
compatible with Genesys, Cisco, Amazon Connect, Nice CXOne solutions. The desktop is a fully
featured, thick client replacement with inbound, outbound, and multi-media support. The product
enables easy customization and rapid deployment of new desktop features into complex
environments enabling a true Omni-channel experience.

What are we looking for?
● Expert at PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, clustering, and replication
● Experience with SQL and PL/pgSQL stored procedures.
● Experience with OpenSource HA PostgreSQL technologies such as Bucardo and Pgpool-II
● Knowledge and experience with RedHat Linux systems (RHEL8)
Job Description
As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA, you will;
● Participate and provide technical leadership to the Software Development team.
● Responsible for oversight of PostgreSQL related product issues, as well as contributing to the
overall product development process
● Provide support for customers running PostgreSQL database solutions within a 24x7 rotating
shift model.
● Contribute to the resolution of complex database-related issues and outages.
● Responsible for managing and delivering multiple projects within expected due dates,
ensuring to keep all parties involved are informed of progress.
● Promote cross-functional and global communication and collaboration to leverage resources
for optimal employee engagement and business results.
● Establish and support and ISO27001 processes with regards to secure application
development and operational processes
● Support and participate as needed in the Data Intensity RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process.
● Responsible for customer communications including involvement in customer's agile
delivery processes, direct person-to-person phone interaction
● Work on other functions and duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
● 3+ years of background in progressing people management roles on an international or
global basis.
● 5-10+ years of direct hands-on DBA support for PostgreSQL.
● Expertise in all major versions of PostgreSQL including AWS RDS, Community, and bundled
versions on Red hat and other Linux distributions.
● Comprehensive skills in PL/pgSQL.
● Comprehensive architectural skills to work closely with application developers in designing
and creating new applications.
● Experience working on an Application/Development team or experience as an Application
DBA.
● AWS RDS knowledge and experience
● Experience with Postgres Connection Pooling
● Hands-on operational DBA expertise in the areas of Replication, Log shipping, High
Availability, and Backup/Recovery.
● Advanced performance-tuning skills to review performance data and prepare reports.
● Logging, managing, and resolving SRs with PostgreSQL open-source development support.
● SQL and Linux scripting skills are required skills.
● Strong communication skills are a requirement for this position:
● Strong English speaking and writing skills are required
● Ability to manage customer or in-house escalation calls is required
● Strong comprehension skills are required
● Conversational skills are a must
● Strong skills in using Microsoft products: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
● Experience and ability to follow, develop, and write operational documentation are required.

Advantageous
● This position will be primarily dealing with on-premise PostgreSQL servers, but experience
with Amazon AWS RDS/Aurora databases will be advantageous
● ITIL Foundation Certification.
● 3+ years of experience in a software development company would be highly regarded
● Hands-on Linux and Windows system administration experience is a plus.
● Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus.
Working hours
● Philippine hours - Monday to Friday: 7 am – 4 pm (with Flexi-day set up)
● Flexible schedule - core hours are 9 AM - 2 PM daily Philippine time. You can come in as
early as 5 AM and the latest end of the shift is at 7 PM
● There could be schedules that you will be on an on-call arrangement. Could be a mid-shift or
graveyard shift, but not regularly

● 2 connections are required, 1 as backup (BCP or Business Continuity Plan)
● Use of nearby KMC office as needed (Business Continuity Plan)
● Occasional meetings in the office may be required
● Initial 15 Leaves (prorated, sick leave, and vacation leave) and additional 10 leaves after one
year (25 total after one year)
● Paid Christmas shutdown for 1-2 weeks (depends on dates/schedule/client)
● To observe Australian (Melbourne) holidays, or US Holidays depending on the assigned
client
● Paid Philippine holidays less the Australian/US holidays (swap)
● Government-mandated benefits (SSS, Pagibig, Philhealth, 13-month pay)
● Annual training upon regularization (upon management's approval)

● Philippine (MTO) Manager and Director in Sydney, Australia
