Job description


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements for embedded systems in automotive applications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project goals, customer needs, and industry standards.
  • Create detailed and clear software requirements specifications, ensuring alignment with automotive standards and safety regulations.
  • Translate high-level system requirements into detailed software specifications for embedded systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including software requirements, design documents, and test plans.
  • Maintain traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are addressed in the development process.
  • Effectively communicate technical requirements to software developers, testers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with system architects, and quality assurance teams to ensure a holistic understanding of requirements.
  • Participate in the verification and validation processes to ensure that the developed software meets specified requirements.
  • Conduct reviews and inspections to validate software requirements.
  • Identify and assess potential risks related to software requirements and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement risk management processes in accordance with automotive safety standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practices for requirements engineering.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to automotive embedded systems.

 



Requirements


  • University degree in electrical/electronic or computer science engineering.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Embedded Software Requirements Engineer in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and relevant regulations.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, software development life cycle (SDLC), and proficiency in requirement management tools.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols used in automotive systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts in the automotive domain.
