AR Product Designer at DeepAR

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient AR (Augmented Reality) Product Designer with fantastic frontend coding abilities to join our innovative team. As a Technical AR Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the tools, platforms and interfaces that allow DeepAR's technology to be consumed by over 30,000 creators across the world.

Your deep understanding of AR technologies, strong design sensibilities, and frontend coding expertise will be crucial in creating the interfaces and tools that enable creators to create immersive and interactive user experiences.

Responsibilities

1. AR Design and Development:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to define and refine AR product concepts.
   • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to illustrate the user experience and interaction flows of AR products.
   • Design visually compelling AR interfaces that align with brand guidelines and usability best practices.
   • Utilize your frontend coding abilities to bring AR designs to life and ensure optimal performance across platforms.
     
2. Technical Expertise:
   • Possess a deep understanding of AR technologies, including DeepAR SDK, DeepAR Studio, Snap Studio and SparkAR
   • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AR development tools, frameworks, and platforms.
   • Leverage your rich expertise in frontend coding languages (such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) to build interactive AR experiences with a variety of SDKs
   • Have experience with platform-centric component libraries and frameworks that allow for the creation of amazing B2B tools for managing superb AR shopping functionality within the context of other eCommerce platforms.
     
3. UI/UX Optimization:
   • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on AR designs for optimal user experience.
   • Collaborate with UX designers to ensure the seamless integration of AR features within overall product designs.
   • Optimize AR interfaces for performance, responsiveness, and accessibility across a variety of devices and platforms.
     
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
   • Communicate and present design concepts and prototypes effectively, seeking and incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams.
   • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of AR designs into the frontend codebase.
     
5. Innovation and Continuous Learning:
   • Stay informed about emerging AR trends, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
   • Continuously explore new tools, techniques, and frameworks to improve AR design and frontend coding capabilities.
   • Proactively contribute to the ideation and innovation process, proposing new AR features and experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as interaction design, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in AR product design and frontend coding, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in AR design, frontend coding, and interactive UI/UX design.
• Proficiency in frontend coding languages (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and frameworks (e.g., React, Three.js).
• Solid understanding of AR development tools and platforms, such as SnapKit, SparkAR, ARKit, ARCore, or similar.
• Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
