About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic Wiley team and deliver growth impact for Learning in Asia.

This Senior Business Development Manager role is responsible for proactively leading and driving new Enterprise customer acquisition activities, including generating, nurturing, and converting customer leads via direct sales and marketing channels, distribution partnerships, and business model innovation. You will be an integral part of the sales team, planning and driving activities that lead to faster new customer growth.

How you will make an impact:

  • Represent Wiley, leveraging your comprehensive knowledge about our solutions to demonstrate how they address client needs.
  • Plan, drive and grow sales of Wiley Learning Enterprise collection
  • Work with existing sales team to uncover new Enterprise opportunities and convert them into new customers
  • Drive field engagement and customer needs gatherings to improve business offering and models
  • Drive customers and stakeholders’ relationship Track results and pipeline to provide management team with updates on performance Vs targets
  • Generate leads and cultivate relationships by nurturing warm prospects and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Build and expand the sales pipeline, identifying opportunities for new revenue and growth within existing accounts.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities in the market and facilitate meetings or calls between prospective clients and sales executives.
  • Manage detailed and accurate records of sales development activities in Salesforce. Understand prospect needs and recommend appropriate solutions or services.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Engage clients and prospects using creative communication methods and leverage various sales tools and technologies.
  • Identify and implement best practices to optimize the company’s lead generation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute outbound strategies to target clients through innovative approaches.
  • Support efforts to increase participation in marketing events and conferences.
  • Provide regular reports to the sales management team
  • Stay abreast of developments in the enterprise software and SaaS sales landscape and financial markets to identify trends and new opportunities.

  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven tracked record on winning new Enterprise business and customers
  • Strong University Contacts and Networking Skills: Proficient in establishing and nurturing relationships within the university sphere, adept at new business development, and capable of effectively closing leads.
  • Competent in achieving Enterprise sales growth results, solving problems, and collaborating across teams.
  • Ambitious and Driven: Demonstrates a hunger for success and is motivated to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Action-oriented: Takes initiative and is proactive in pursuing opportunities, making decisions, and driving results.
  • Strategic Thinker: Possesses intelligence and a strategic mindset, capable of analyzing situations, devising effective plans, and making informed decisions.
  • Capacity for Continuous Learning: Shows a willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new information, technologies, and methodologies to stay ahead in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to define actions needed by the team, create an environment of optimism and creativity and seek and deliver the right outcomes by solving problems.
  • Skilled in English written and content communication.
  • Candidates for Indonesia can speak Bahasa
