Job Description: C++ Tech Lead

 

Are you an experienced C++ Tech Lead looking to take your career to new heights? Look no further! My client, a leading company in the HFT  industry, is actively seeking a highly talented C++ Tech Lead to join their dynamic team.

  • As a C++ Tech Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving the technical direction of their cutting-edge trading systems and ensuring they remain at the forefront of the industry.

    Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of talented C++ developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Define and enforce software architecture principles, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining a scalable and maintainable codebase.
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly efficient and scalable C++ code, ensuring optimal performance and robustness.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, offering valuable feedback to team members to promote code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  •  Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in C++ development, and evaluate their potential applications to improve our trading systems.
  •  Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and bottlenecks, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.
    Mentor and coach junior team members, promoting their professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  •  Expertise in C++ programming with a deep understanding of the infrastructure around it
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a C++ developer, demonstrating a strong command of the language and its best practices
  • Proven experience in a team or tech lead role, with a minimum of 3 years leading and mentoring a team of C++ developers.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles to guide the development process and ensure robust and scalable solutions.
  • Experience with message broker systems, enabling seamless communication within trading systems
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing efficient data structures and algorithms, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency 
  • Background in multi-threaded and network programming, enabling the development of robust and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  •  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
