The Climate Collective, an Indian not-for-profit organization, runs climate-focused startup support programs, including the largest early-stage Climate Tech accelerator in South Asia.
Since 2016, Climate Collective Foundation (“CCF”) has been a leader in supporting Climate Tech startups in India & South Asia. It has now become the largest such private-sector platform in South Asia. Our activities to build up the ecosystem include:

CLIMATE TECH INVESTMENT NETWORK
Overview
Climate Tech Investment Network (CTIN) provides investment syndication support services to institutional investors and angel networks through a deal-flow centric platform to catalyze early-stage capital into Climate Tech startups in Developing Asia.
CTIN was developed in 2021 through the Frontiers Lab Asia incubator initiative, and this pilot was funded by Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (Australian Government).
CTIN delivers this value to investors by creating pre-vetted Climate Tech deal flow and showcasing the same during: Bi-annual Climate Tech Investment Summits, Monthly Pitch Days, Investor Education Workshops , Technical Due Diligence Support and Research Support.
ABOUT THE ROLE
SPECIFICATIONS:
· Position: Lead – Climate Tech Investment Network (CTIN)
· Location: Remote (Bangalore/Bombay is preferred)
· Level of Employment: Mid-level
· Type of Employment: Full time
· Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters in finance or related fields/MBA/CFA
· Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience working with startups/investors in a finance and/or climate related role such as deal advisory, VC, impact investing, accelerators, etc., with a strong preference for someone with an understanding of/experience working in the startup ecosystem/early-stage investing/climate tech, willing to work in IST and other time zones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and oversee execution of the programs (Deal sourcing, outreach, selection of startups for pitch days; investment summits; research projects; Tech DD Facility; along with other events) to achieve the outcomes and goals
· Operationalize program plans into detailed activities, while managing timelines, budgets and reporting to ensure funder and partner obligations are met
· Provide investment readiness support to early-stage climate tech entrepreneurs
· Manage and oversee the Climate Tech VC Investments Newsletter
· Identify new investors to build out CTIN’s investor network across multiple geographies and maintain relationships with existing members (which includes VCs, CVCs, Impact Funds, etc.)
· Manage strategic relationships with key partner organizations to carry out program activities
· Develop and execute strategies along with senior management, to build out the CTIN platform
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen focus on owning and building out the CTIN platform, including its monetization strategies, requiring innovation, resourcefulness, and a drive to create impact through sustainable growth strategies.
There would be a certain amount of travel in India and the region for program activities and business development.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
We're looking for someone with at least 6-8 years of experience working in the startup/investing/climate ecosystem. Though not a pre-requisite, experience in the intersection of climate and finance is highly preferred. Prior exposure to an early-stage investing (preferably in climate) related role is likely to give you an advantage in the evaluation process.

· Ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders – startups, investors, industry experts, etc.
· Fluency in English, ability to deliver high-quality written work; Ability to communicate complex analysis and ideas in a concise manner – written, visually, and verbally, across varying audiences and styles
· Excellent skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and a general appreciation for systems & productivity tools (we use Asana, Slack and a few others)
This is a good role for someone with some investing experience and exposure to climate tech, and with a serious interest in getting into climate tech VC. The progression pathway for this role is toward a Junior Partner Role in 2-3 years.
