This is a remote position.

Our client is a leading proprietary algorithmic trading company that operates across multiple markets, leveraging state-of-the-art technology and a talented team of professionals. With an impressive infrastructure that handles 73TB of trading and miscellaneous data and 15TB of traffic daily, we trade over 1500 instruments using our cutting-edge platform developed in Rust.


The Opportunity: We are seeking an exceptional Senior FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the seamless integration of software and external FPGA IP cores. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with the best hardware, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of our industry-leading trading platform.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Architectural Leadership:
    • Spearhead the design and development of seamless integration strategies for software and external FPGA IP cores.
    • Drive the architectural decisions and implementation of FPGA-based solutions.
  2. Team Management:
    • Take ownership of the hiring process for FPGA developers, ensuring the growth of a highly skilled and collaborative team.
    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the FPGA development team.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Foster strong partnerships with software, hardware, and trading teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA components.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align FPGA development with business objectives.
  4. Technical Excellence:
    • Utilize your expertise in Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL, or HLS to develop robust and efficient FPGA solutions.
    • Implement industry best practices and methodologies to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of FPGA systems.
  5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay at the forefront of FPGA technology advancements and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our trading platform.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and streamline FPGA development processes.


Requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully leading FPGA development projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep expertise in FPGA programming languages such as Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL, or HLS.
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software co-design principles and experience integrating external IP cores.
  • Proficiency in FPGA testing methodologies and tools, ensuring the reliability and performance of developed solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address complex challenges.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on cross-functional teamwork.
