DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST - REMOTE ROLE


JOB SUMMARY


The Digital Media Specialist is a member of the Marketing team and uses digital media to promote the GBTA Brand using a wide range of digital channels, including social media, email campaigns, website content, landing pages and video hosting accounts to meet GBTA’s marketing and growth goals. Focus will be on building brand awareness to convert prospects into members or sponsors.


The Digital Media Specialist must have a solid understanding of social and digital marketing to potential and current members and is comfortable with conducting research into market trends, search optimization tasks, developing project plans, updating social media accounts, and creating marketing collateral.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Aiding in the development of strategic media plans and media campaign strategy documents including flowcharts and client presentation decks.
  • Researching new digital/social concepts for consideration to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensuring project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables are on track.
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance and making optimization recommendations; to design effective digital marketing strategies.
  • Communicating an in-depth understanding of all ROI reports to address client questions and concerns.
  • Aggregating data from various data sources into polished, client-facing reports.
  • Review key insights, learnings, and recommended optimizations with internal and potentially external teams.
  • Understand the sales funnel and customer journey to create digital content that aligns with the Biz development teams goals to ensure the members, sponsors etc. have a consistent experience with the brand.
  • Coordinate the creation of digital content – website, blogs, podcasts etc. and manage end-to-end digital projects.
  • Maintain strong online community voice though social media.
  • Monitor ROI and KPI’s – and designate KPI’s to identify campaign success.
  • Track general trends and ways for GBTA to gain members or sponsors leading to increased sales.
  • Develop content strategies to engage users on every platform.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in a wide range of software and online applications to create and post digital content not limited to photo/video editing and publishing software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to write for key audiences on different platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm for teamwork across departments, deep commitment to success, and ownership of projects from start to finish are essential.
  • Solid understanding of modern online marketing/social tools and systems with the ability to diversify content on multiple accounts while understanding regional and cultural differences.
  • Execute marketing plans through requests of support from: marketing production (copywriting, design, web, SEO, email, mobile), online marketing (Pardot, search, social), telemarketing, and PR services.
  • Ability to assist in executing marketing requests– through multiple channels.
  • Superior organization skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects in a super-fast paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including cloud-based systems. Must have a high level of skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and project management systems.
  • Ownership of campaigns and report on marketing analytics/metrics.



PREFFERED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


  • Experience working with non-profit and/or association.
  • Experience working in a membership-based organization.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation.
  • Multi-lingual preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • GBTA is currently fully remote.
  • Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to remain stationary and move for long periods of time, during events.
  • If required by local, state, federal or international law/regulation for attendance/participation in group functions and meetings - must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to attend.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate various meetings and events.

TRAVEL REQUIRED


  • Up to 10% of travel to events and meetings; based on organizational needs.
