As a data engineer lead on the Personal Lines Control Business Analytics and Strategic Solutions team, you’ll setup and maintain business owned code and engineering solutions. You’ll work on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated reporting, and large compute solutions. You’ll work in an established team of BI Developers, Data Analysts and Personal Lines IT to solve technical challenges in service to improve our use of Property, Auto and Special Lines product data. Additionally, you’ll drive innovation, provide opportunities for efficiency, quality, and automation opportunities, and collaborate with your peers to arrive at scalable and testable, technical solutions leveraging cloud services, and infrastructure.

This is a remote position. **

Must-have Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of five years of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with building data pipelines, data pipeline infrastructure and related tools and environments used in analytics and data science (ex: Python, Unix)
  • Experience with AWS and services (i.e., EC2, AMI, ECR, IAM) and cloud service tools like Snowflake
  • Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools preferably such as Terraform (or Ansible or related)
  • Experience with data replication, orchestration, and transformation tools (e.g., HVR, Prefect, dbt, or similar tech stack)
  • Experience with other relevant tools used in data engineering (e.g., SQL, GIT, etc.)

Compensation

  • $132,600 – $156,100/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
