Senior Architect - Application led Cloud Transformation (REF2451V)

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team and lead the modernization and migration efforts of our legacy applications to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application transition and transformation, with expertise in cloud computing platforms and technologies. This role requires a proactive and innovative individual who can drive the adoption of cloud-native solutions, optimize application performance, and ensure scalability and reliability in the cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the assessment and analysis of legacy applications to identify migration opportunities, dependencies, and risks
• Develop migration strategies and roadmaps for transitioning on-premise and legacy applications to cloud platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, and implement cloud-native solutions that align with business requirements and objectives
• Execute application migration projects, including re-platforming, re-hosting, and re-architecting legacy applications for cloud environments
• Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency in the cloud through continuous monitoring, tuning, and optimization
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on cloud migration methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and industry standards to drive innovation and continuous improvement

• Experience with cloud migration tools and services (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, CloudEndure or Google Cloud Migrate)
• Knowledge of automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet)
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing
• Experience with legacy application technologies (mainframe systems, monolithic architectures) and their migration challenges
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
