Job description

Overview:

The SAP ABAP RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model) plays a crucial role within the organization by developing and maintaining SAP applications using ABAP RAP technology, thus enabling efficient data modeling and service consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with functional analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SAP ABAP RAP
Design, implement, and maintain ABAP RAP-based applications, developments, and enhancements
Integrate SAP systems with external systems using ABAP RAP
Develop and optimize performance of ABAP RAP-based applications
Ensure high quality and on-time delivery of technical solutions
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues in ABAP RAP code
Document technical designs, specifications, and code consistently and thoroughly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
Provide technical support and guidance to end users
Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and best practices
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP development team

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
Proficiency in ABAP programming, debugging, and troubleshooting
Experience in developing and consuming OData services
Strong understanding of SAP Fiori and UI5 technologies
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience in agile software development methodologies is a plus
SAP certification in ABAP development is preferred
Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform is a plus
Understanding of SAP HANA database concepts is desirable
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SAP applications is a plus
