Senior Python Developer

What we are looking for

At Ideaware, we are looking for a back-end developer experienced with Python to work with one of our international partners on incredible long-term projects. You will have the opportunity to work with a culturally diverse team located in Colombia and the US.

Responsibilities

- Develop Django Rest Framework-based API and supporting micro-services.
- Perform code reviews for Python API and supporting micro-services.
- Improve existing functions and develop new ones on given specifications and architectures.
- Cover apps by unit and integration tests.
- Debug and fix errors.
- Communicate with other engineers and teams.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Experience in a Python - Django environment.
- Strong understanding of Python and can apply this knowledge to help maintain code quality.
- Deep understanding of APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication technologies.
- Experience in AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Machine Learning knowledge.
- Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
- Experience shipping production-ready code with a holistic solution approach.
- Ability to self-manage in a remote work environment.
- English B2 or above.
