As a Tax Manager with our real estate team, you work closely with our clients to gather information, develop solutions to tax matters, clearly communicate any discrepancies, and provide a high level of service. You work with a collaborative team to bounce ideas around, find solutions, and work towards client engagement completion deadlines. A Tax Manager will have a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university, a CPA, and at least 5 years of recent experience in tax working with complex real estate clients. Some essential job functions of this job include but are not limited to:
• Manage Tax engagements by planning, scheduling, monitoring and reviewing compliance engagements.
• Review the work performed by staff including tax returns and work papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with professional and organizational standards, as well as codes and regulations.
• Serve as technical resource to assigned staff through careful review and feedback on work product(s).
• Provide consulting services to clients to provide business advice related to tax planning and compliance and related areas.
• Manage client relationships through active and on-going communication, responding promptly to questions and inquiries, review schedules and timelines and communicate deadlines to clients.
• Participate in activities which support practice development and firm growth strategies and goals.
• Present in-house technical training for staff that supports organizational needs.
• Mentor and support staff assigned to each engagement by providing informal feedback during the engagement and formal, written feedback at the end of the engagement.
This position can be 100% in the office, 100% remote, or hybrid. Candidates need to be available between 10am and 2pm PST and we are flexible on the work hours around those core business hours to complete the work week.
Salary Range: $99,578 minimum to $149,367 maximum salary range
