About the Opportunity

ClearGov is looking for a Software Engineer who will be a member of our growing development organization.  As a Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to building and enhancing ClearGov’s suite of applications. We are looking for a high performer that consistently demonstrates an unusual level of commitment, competence and creativity. Responsibilities will cover all aspects of the software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, architect and code new features and enhancements for ClearGov’s suite of applications based on detailed product requirements specifications
  • Collaborate with other software engineers, product owners and software architects to plan design, develop, test, and maintain ClearGov applications
  • Code and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
  • Play an active role in contributing to the continuous improvement of the ClearCov development process
  • Write clear, concise technical documentation 
  • Conduct peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Actively participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Critical Skills/Experience:
  • 3+ years of software development experience building complex, multi-faceted SaaS products
  • Strong JavaScript skills both client side and server side (Node.js) to foster strong communication between varied project development teams
  • 3+ years of working experience with SQL and relational databases. MySQL experience a plus
  • Proficiency in with web development, API design, and testing
  • Proficiency in core platforms:
    • Front-End: AngularJS/Angular 15+; Socket.IO; Highcharts; D3; gulp; Less.js
    • Back-End: Node.js; Express; RabbitMQ; MySQL; Elasticsearch
    • Environment: AWS; Amazon S3; Git; Heroku
    • Project Management: Jira; Confluence
  • Competent with cloud environments preferably AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Superb organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication
